West Ham have endured a rollercoaster ride in the first half of the season under Manuel Pellegrini but began 2019 in a superb vein of form, having lost just one of their last nine matches in all competitions.
The Hammers have benefited from a vast spending spree in the summer that saw the likes of Felipe Anderson, Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena move to the London Stadium but there is still room for further improvements.
With summer signings Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez struggling to make an impact in midfield due to injury issues, Pellegrini’s side would benefit from another addition in this area and West Ham fans on Twitter have been discussing a potential target.
It all started when one fan asked fellow supporters what their opinion on Huddersfield Town’s Philip Billing during the January window and it seems a lot of supporters are keen on bringing the 22-year-old across the Premier League.
We have gathered some of their comments below.
Qualify player, Young mobile, just what we need next to Declan rice.

Would suit the playstyle better than Shelvey, and would compliment Rice well. He’s young enough as well that he can improve.

Looks a decent player and would probably be able to show what he can do with better quality around him. Also not scared to shoot from distance which creates alot off chances for poachers around the goal with rebounds perfect for hernandez defo a better option than shelvey id say

He is young and has a lot of potential. Very underrated in my opinion in both attack and defense. Would love to have him in our squad and couldn’t imagine that he would have a large fee attached to him #WHUFC #COYI

He is absolutely quality

Young lad and he could be our motor

He’s a good player and key for the terriers in their quest for survival, I’d take him but somehow i can’t see Wagner letting him leave tbh

Looks like a good player only 22 but I would rather sign someone more proven. Wouldn’t be against signing him though.

He walks into our side, physical unit, reads the game well, tackles strongly & solid long shot!
If he isn’t silly money, 20-25m or so he’d be a top target as he’s Young, lots of potential to improve & even sell on for good money, exactly the kind of player G&S should be after!— Steven McCarthy (@StevenMcCarthy9) January 7, 2019
