West Ham have struggled for consistency at the start of the Premier League season, winning just two of their opening 10 league matches, and are likely to dip into the transfer market in January.
Manuel Pellegrini’s spending spree in the summer saw the Hammers splash over £100m on new recruits, securing the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko, Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena, but the East London side are yet to reap the rewards.
Options in the middle of the park have been depleted by injuries to Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez, both of whom arrived in the summer, while Mark Noble’s red card against Leicester has increased those woes and has left many wondering if their captain is past his best.
Football Insider claims that West Ham are eyeing a move for Tottenham outcast Victor Wanyama to strengthen their squad in key areas and it is fair to say supporters on social media are keen on the proposed swoop – although they are not sure Spurs will negotiate with a rival club.

Would be amazing signing, but spurs barely ever do business with us.

Good signing but will be difficult making a deal with them.

Still only 27, Prem proven and given Spurs wage structure, we could definitely afford to pay him, would be an excellent move!
Him and RLC on a loan added to the squad would be absolutely incredible business.— Steven McCarthy (@StevenMcCarthy9) October 29, 2018
Would take that but can’t see it happening

Can’t see it happening but be good business if we get it over the line!
