West Ham have endured a turbulent few seasons since moving to the London Stadium and their struggles have continued this season.
The Hammers have lost six of their opening 12 Premier League matches under Manuel Pellegrini, hovering in the bottom half of the table and failing to find consistency under the guidance of their new boss.
Fans have long cried for the former home of the London 2012 Olympics to feel more like West Ham’s own ground and a crucial update was shared this week that stated the club have secured a deal to extend the stadium’s capacity to 66,000.
The news comes at the end of a gruelling battle behind the scenes with the stadium’s owners and is a huge success for West Ham, although many supporters do not feel it will make any difference at all.
Reactions to the news was certainly split and we have gathered some of the responses below.
Who cares? We never fill the 57,000 currently on offer. Only the arsenal announcer and Dianne Abbott would give our actual attendance as its current capacity.

Good news for the club and E20 but will 66,000 want to watch a mid-table club…time to climb up the league and challenge for a European place.

3,000 new seats at £40 a game for 19 games = £2.28m
£2.28m / 52 weeks = £44k per week.
Here you go Declan… 5 year contract.

We can’t even fill the seats we have, so that just means even more empty seats
