West Ham’s Goalscorers Vie For MotM – Do You Agree With The Palace Winner

|

West Ham United made it three wins on the spin on Saturday afternoon as we took a hard-fought victory over Crystal Palace at the London Stadium.

Welcoming Roy Hodgson’s side to our home soil for the tie it initially looked like they might upset our current run of form as they took advantage six minutes into the game but we took charge in the second half and Robert Snodgrass started the fightback within three minutes of the whistle, and his effort was built on by Javier Hernandez and Felipe Anderson to give us a 3-1 lead.

Palace hit back to make it 3-2 but we held on for the points to move into the top half of the table for the first time.

Sitting in tenth place in the Premier League table we are now only 13 points from fifth place and only five points from sixth which shows how tight the middle pack is in the division.

With a number of strong performances on the day our opening goalscorer was given Whoscored’s star man rating of 8.44 for his efforts.

Anderson (7.65), Chicharito (7.53), Fabian Balbuena (7.20) and Pablo Zabaleta (7.12) completed our top five performers on the day but Andy Carrol (7.11) and Declan Rice (7.07) also received seven-plus scores.

All eyes to Fulham as we continue to show improvements under manager Manuel Pellegrini.
