A dramatic late stoppage time goal gave West Ham United three very valuable points at the London Arena, against West Bromwich Albion.

The three points, gained courtesy of a 94th minute goal from Andy Carroll sees West Ham United climb out of the relegation zone and leaves West Brom routed to the bottom spot.

But for long periods of the game it looked as if the Hammers were going to experience one of those days.

West Brom took the lead in the 30th minute when a shot by James McClean was deflected and beat Adrian in the Hammers goal.

The Hammers tried to get back on level terms but both Manuel Lanzini and Marko Arnautovic saw efforts saved by Ben Foster in the West Brom goal.

But, just before the hour mark, West Ham did get back on level terms when Andy Carroll, making a rare start, rose to head home a cross from Aaron Cresswell.

At 1-1 West Brom had chances to retake the lead but these were twice spurned by Oliver Burke.

Indeed, deep into stoppage time it was Burke that lost possession and West Ham launch a move that was to bring that dramatic late winner when Lanzini and Arnautovic combined with Carroll expertly finishing off the cross provided by the Austrian.

Amid joyous scenes at the London Stadium, the win lifted the Hammers to a lofty 16th place in the Premier League.
