West Ham – Showing Parker The Money

A contract worth £20m, spread over five-years, has been offered to the midfielder in an attempt to convince him that he really is the mainstay in the Hammers side.

Avram Grant, talking to the Daily Mail, is in no doubt that he wants to keep Parker: ‘We want to progress with good players.

‘It is very important we have good experienced players and there is no doubt that Scott Parker is one of them. He is a good footballer and has quality.’

The 29-year-old, Hammer of the year for the past two seasons, continues to be linked with Spurs and Villa although this offer should prove West Ham’s commitment to him, all they need now is for Parker to prove his commitment to them.
