West Ham see two bids rejected for highly-rated 13-goal forward

|

West Ham are seeking improvements to their forward line in the final weeks of the January transfer window, with widespread speculation that they will lose the services of Marko Arnautovic.

Chinese side Shanghai SIPG are keen to bring the 29-year-old Austria international to the Far East and the Hammers will need to find a replacement to fill the void his departure would leave in the squad – and it seems Manuel Pellegrini has identified his man.

According to The MailWest Ham have seen two bids rejected for Genoa striker Krztysztof Piatek as the Italian outfit are waiting for fellow Serie A side AC Milan to make an approach – with Gonzalo Higuain expected to complete a move to Chelsea.

Two sizeable bids for the Polish striker, who has caught the eye with 13 league goals this season, have been turned down though as Genoa seem to believe that Milan, desperate to find a replacement for Chelsea-bound Higuain, will pay a significantly higher sum.
