West Ham rivalling La Liga outfit for four-goal midfielder

|

West Ham and Sevilla are the two teams to have submitted an offer for Eibar midfielder Joan Jordan, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

The Catalan’s contract expires in 2020 so Eibar will be keen to sell him now in order to ensure they receive a fee for their star man.

He reportedly has a 15 million euro release clause, though Eibar are said to be willing to negotiate with any club looking to buy him.

West Ham and Sevilla are the only ones to have submitted a proposal so far, but it is unknown how much they have offered – while Valencia, Villarreal and Arsenal are also said to be interested.

Jordan recorded four goals and assists in 32 La Liga starts and four substitute appearances this season, with his long shots being cited as very strong on WhoScored, while set pieces, key passes, dribbling and concentration are among his other strengths.

The Hammers have been in the market for a midfielder who can create – having been linked with Konstantinos Fortounis and AndrĂ© Gomes in the past – so this seems like a move that would fit the club very well.

It is also a move which wouldn’t break the bank, as the Hammers have already offered more than the 15 million euros needed to get Jordan in the negotiations for the two aforementioned names.
