West Ham reportedly targeting £6.3m-valued defender for summer move

|

According to Grada 3, West Ham are interested in signing Alex Moreno in the summer window as the Hammers look to add to their side – hopefully ahead of another Premier League campaign.

Of course, the schedule is up in the air at the moment but the preference seems to be that this season is played to a close properly and, therefore, the Hammers will need to be ready to get themselves safe as quickly as possible.

Should we sign him?

Yes

No

One knock-on of the current problem, too, is that it is unclear when the window is going to open up for business but, when it does, you’d hope that the Irons have used this current period to identify players and deals they want to try and sort for the market.

Moreno is one of the latest to get linked, then, with the Betis man liking to play down the left-hand side at both left-back and left-wing.

Primarily, though, he is a full-back and with the issues that the club has had on both sides of the pitch in that position in the recent past, you’d just hope that the homework has been done on this man if he was to come to east London.

As per transfermarkt, meanwhile, he is valued at £6.3m and so he might not be the most expensive signing in the world, though this is just a guide and it remains to be seen what Betis would actually demand if the Irons firmed up and reported interest and looked to get a deal struck.
