West Ham – On the Pitch!

I guess with the inquest into the events that occurred at Upton Park, against Millwall, still to hand out the expected heavy punishment, we`re the last club that should be hankering on about supporters on the pitch.

Our failure to steward the game that night will cost us dearly and amidst all the hullabaloo relating to Craig Bellamy landing a right hand on that prize United chump who sauntered onto the pitch unheralded, there has been very little mention of how he managed to get on in the first place.

Surely, it shouldn`t matter, be it one guy, ten guys or a hundred guys – it`s a let down in the standard of protection those on the green turf should accept as part and parcel of the game.

To those in charge, have a word with the other United! Let`s see a level playing field for all!
