January will certainly be an interesting month, especially with the transfer window set to provide some thrills and spills.

Prior to the transfer window opening, David Moyes has given a broad hint that he feels that it is the West Ham midfield that is the area that needs the most attention paying to it.

Yesterday, the inference being bandied about was that West Ham United might make a move for the Stoke City player, Joe Allen.

Today, as is often the case when it comes to the transfer window being open, another name is thrown into the mixer.

According to the red-top publication, the Mirror, David Moyes could be set to make a move for Jonjo Shelvey.

Shelvey, 25-years-of-age, is on the books of Newcastle United and our source reckons that the England international could be just the player to add some much needed ‘beef` to the Hammers midfield.

But, would such a signing get your approval?
