West Ham linked with move for Bundesliga ace – report

|

To date, we have been utterly dominant in the transfer market, in a surprisingly efficient manner for the club. And, it seems that we’re poised to continue with our summer signings. Mainz’s Yoshinori Muto has been linked with a move to the club.

According to the German outlet, Bild, we’re interested in signing Yoshinori Muto from Bundesliga side, Mainz.  The forward is entering the final year of his contract with the German club, and thus he could be available on a reduced fee.

The striker featured for Japan during the World Cup, and he enjoyed a decent 2017/18 season with his club side. Over the duration of the campaign, the 26-year-old contributed towards 15 goals in all competitions – scoring a reasonably respectable total of ten goals and registering five assists. It’s wholly unrealistic to expect that Muto will be the leading forward for us, but, in light of Carroll’s latest injury, he could prove to be a competent backup.
