This season, West Ham have struggled to identify who is their main-man between the posts.

After bringing Joe Hart to the club, on a season-long loan deal, it was Hart who started off as the number one choice.

However, a series of disappointing performances from Hart saw Adrian reclaim the number one spot he thought he`d lost.

Just recently, the situation has, once again turned full circle, with Hart being back between the posts after some errors from Adian.

But, it appears, according to speculation appearing in the tabloid publication, The Mirror, West Ham United have identified the long-term solution to the problem.

Our source is championing the suggestion that the Hammers are set to make a move for the Manchester United keeper, Sam Johnstone.

Johnstone, 25-years-of-age, is currently on a season long loan with the Championship club, Aston Villa, where he is performing admirably.

Our source suggests that Johnstone could be available for as little as £4 million, a pretty-decent price in todays` market.

However, it remains to be seen whether the deal can be finalised.

Here at Vital West Ham United we`ll keep a watchful eye out for any further news and report back as deemed necessary.
