The international break has, somewhat, seen speculation relating to our club almost come to a halt.

However, today there is a piece of transfer speculation that has caught our eye.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the Hammers are keen on bringing a Polish striker to the club.

The striker in question is Lukasz Teodorczyk who is currently on the books of the Belgian side Anderlecht.

Twenty-six-year-old Teodorczyk, was once on the books of Dynamo Kiev and his scoring exploits, for Anderlecht, caught the eye of another Premier League club, Liverpool, in the summer.

However, nothing materialised and Teodorczyk remained at Anderlecht.

Teodorczyk 27 goals for Anderlecht last season and our referenced source suggests that the Hammers sent scouts to watch the player play in the recent Champions League fixture with Celtic.

Teodorczyk is rated at £7 million and Anderlecht`s desire to keep the player has been diminished by their failure t secure qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Our aforementioned source is of the opinion that the Belgian club could now be ready to listen to offers.

However, our source does mention that the Italian club, Torino, are also interested in acquiring the services of the player.

Here at Vital West Ham we`ll keep a watchful eye out for any further developments.
