With the January transfer window now open, we`re eagerly waiting to see who the club decides to bring to the London Stadium to assist in easing away from the relegation zone we`ve dropped into.

David Moyes has already heavily hinted that he wants to strengthen the midfield but that doesn`t completely rule out additions being made in other areas of the side.

Today, the first day of the transfer window being open, one of the leading red-top publications, The Mirror, is hinting that West Ham United are looking to bring a forward to the club from Arsenal.

The forward in question is 28-year-old Theo Walcott.

Walcott has been on the periphery of the action at Arsenal this season and the speculation insists that he will be moving on in this window.

However, it`d be churlish for us not to acknowledge that the former England international has several other potential suitors with his former club Southampton, as well as Everton and Watford also being linked.

Will the Hammers emerge the victors in this chase?

We`ll keep an eye on the situation and report back as deemed necessary.
