West Ham hold talks over move for £23.4M-rated star

|

Time is running out in the summer transfer window, and the rumour-mill is fully operational. The latest name to be linked with a move to the London Stadium is the Porto winger, Yacine Brahimi.

According to the Portuguese outlet O Jogo, as cited by dzfootball, we have entered negotiations with Porto over a possible move for their winger, Yacine Brahimi. To date, the Portuguese club have displayed a great willingness to negotiate with Premier League teams having sold Ricardo Pereira to Leicester City, and Diego Dalot to Manchester United.

The 28-year-old played a pivotal role for Porto last season, scoring 12 goals in all competitions, nine of which were scored in the league as they won Liga Nos. He is valued at £23.4M by transfermarkt.

Verdict:

There’s no doubting that the Algerian winger is a very talented player, he has amassed an impressive total of 40 goals in 165 games. But, a player of his pedigree will be expecting to start games – especially as he would be forced to sacrifice Champions League football to join the club. Having secured the signings of Anderson and Yarmolenko, it’s difficult to see how we would be able to accommodate Brahimi, too.
