West Ham get early boost ahead of Tottenham clash

|

As quoted by the Hammers’ official website, Carlos Sanchez has revealed that he hopes to be back in contention to play for the club against Spurs this weekend.

The midfielder impressed at the start of the season but has missed much of the campaign with an injury and has had to work hard behind the scenes.

However, he seems ready to come back into the side just before the end of the year and could be a welcome boost ahead of our clash with our London rivals.

Certainly, we’d have liked to have seen more of him this season because he started well and brought real energy and fight to the middle of the park.

We’ll need that this weekend against the Lilywhites, too, and so if he does feature he’s bound to mix it up.

Whether he starts this weekend, though, is up in the air.

At the end of the day he has been out for some time and will need a chance to get back up to speed – maybe a sub appearance will do him good.
