Vital Hammers News

West Ham finally handed some good news as on-pitch woes continue – report

|

It’s not been a good few weeks for West Ham. After a slow start to the season, the Hammers started to get on a good run of form under Manuel Pellegrini, yet they’ve fallen off that path somewhat.

With the team now coming off the back of three successive losses, there’s clearly a lot of work to be done.

Things got even worse in our last game, too, with Marko Arnautovic forced off before full time with what looked to be a pretty significant injury.

Fortunately, the Hammers have finally had some good news on that front. According to the BBC, the striker’s injury is not as bad as first feared. In fact, he’s got a chance to play against Liverpool on Monday, but should certainly be back for the weekend after.

This is, obviously, big news for us. Arnie is crucial to the cause at the London Stadium, and he’s arguably been our best player this season. Particularly at the start of the season, he looked like the only player that was worth his salary.

He’s been linked with an exit over the last few weeks, as we all know, but having signed a new contract, we’re hoping for a strong second half of the season.

Let’s hope that he’s back for Monday, as he’s so important.
