West Ham – Defender Wanted!

The season isn`t that far away and it`s fair to say that whilst Avram Grant has been active in the transfer market it`s just as fair to say he hasn`t been as active as we thought he would be.

But with another whole month to shuffle the pack a lot could still happen.

You may recall that a bid to sign the Portsmouth defender, Tal Ben Haim, went belly-up after a groin problem was revealed at his medical, well today the club, according to the chit-chat columns has another defender in its sights.

Sadly, for us, we know very little about the man in question – Laurent Bonnart, other than that he`s a free agent after his contract at Marseille ended.

Can anyone out there help us?

Is he a full back, a central defender, has he got youth on his side or is he approaching the twilight of his career? But more importantly, is he any good?
