Last night, at the London Stadium, West Ham eased into the fourth round of the EFL Cup with an emphatic win over the Championship side, Bolton Wanderers.

In front of a crowd of 35,806, the Hammers never looked in danger of exiting the competition and will eagerly be looking forward to who they get in the draw for the fourth round this evening.

As early as the 4th minute West Ham United took the lead when Angelo Ogbanna got onto the end of a free-kick from Marko Arnautovic to power a header past the Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper.

Arnautovic, probably having his best game in a West Ham shirt, also set up the second goal, just past the half-hour mark when Diafra Sakho was on hand to find the net.

With the game all but won, and with Bolton Wanderers showing very little going forward, except for a header from Mark Beevers that was straight at Adrian, the Hammers support had to wait until the last minute for the goal of the night.

It came from the boot of Arthur Masuaku who, from thirty-yards out, thundered a shot into the top corner.

A satisfactory performance and a satisfactory result, now let`s see who we get in the next round.
