West Brom Turn West Ham Bid Down For Central Defender

|

Although already this summer, West Ham United have already strengthened the defence by acquiring the services of Ryan Fredericks and also the new club-record signing, Issa Diop, it would appear Manuel Pellegrini is keen to add another defender to the squad.

The news source, the Telegraph, are reporting that the Hammers have failed in a bid to sign the West Bromwich Albion defender, Craig Dawson.

According to our source, the Baggies have rejected a bid of £12 million for the centre-back who West Bromwich Albion would like £20 million for.

Here at Vital West Ham, we’re of the opinion that Dawson would make a decent addition to the squad. With James Collins having left the club and with there doubts over the future of Declan Rice, that area of the team could do with boosting.

However, £20 million seems a little steep, perhaps some mediating can lower the price to an acceptable level, something around the £15 million mark we feel.
