West Ham have a promising lad in the youth ranks in Martin Samuelsen, but a string of failed loans has been enough for these fans to suggest that the time is right to sell him on.
The 21-year-old is still owned by the club, but is currently on loan with VVV-Venlo. His time with the Eredivisie side is nearing its premature end, though, as Haugesund Avis expect the midfielder to sign for FK Haugesund in the coming days – again, on a temporary deal.
Should the move go through, it would be the creative youngster’s sixth loan move since 2015, and will signal another step down the footballing ladder for someone who has earned three international caps with Norway.
For Samuelsen’s last game as a West Ham United player, you have to go back to 2015, as the 6 foot 2 midfielder has not worn Claret and Blue for the first-team since facing Birkirkara FC in the qualifying round of the Europa League in 2015.
No minutes in East London for close to four years and a string of failed loan moves have been enough to convince these fans that when Samuelsen returns from whichever side he represents until the summer, it should be for the last time…
Nope.
Showed glimpses of real talent few years back. Overhyped by fans (including me)…
Showed absolutely nothing since.

Why would we want to give a guy who cant get games at the mighty VVV-Venlo a chance? ????????????♂️

Looks like he was one of those super kid players that peaked early and never really progressed. When we signed him I was super excited Cos he had magical skills but doesn’t look like he’s ever gonna be a top level player

Theres gotta be a reason that everywhere he has gone, he has failed. Clearly just not good enough unfortunately.

If he can’t even get game time at venlo then it just proves he’s not good enough for premier league, another sully wonderkid that’s not that wonderful

To be honest I’d forgotten he still plays for us. Obviously doesn’t seem he’s good enough, every time he’s gone on loan he’s struggled to get in the team.

Samuelsen is a waste of space he’s a dosser with a couple of skills that’s all

Bloody hell, dumbest question I’ve ever heard, he’s failed at every single club he’s been loaned out to, and the last 2 or 3 I’ve never heard of. I bet everyone saying “yes, bring him back” has never actually seen him play.

His career looks to be stalling and loan moves not helping him to improve, i think it is time to sell and move him on.
