‘Useless’: Some West Ham fans heap criticism upon attacker despite another goal

|

West Ham endured a tough start to life under Manuel Pellegrini, although they were not aided by a tough schedule of fixtures, but the Hammers seem to have found some rhythm in their recent matches.

The Hammers have secured back-to-back wins against Newcastle United, Cardiff City and Crystal Palace to surge up the Premier League’s standings and have presented themselves with a perfect platform to build upon over the course of the coming weeks.

While West Ham did manage to emerge victorious against Crystal Palace, the Hammers trailed 1-0 at the interval and plenty of criticism was directed towards Javier Hernandez – who was guilty of being caught offside on a number of occasions, as well as sloppily conceding possession.

Things did improve after the break as the Mexican striker fired the Hammers into the lead after Robert Snodgrass’ equaliser but that did not save the former Manchester United man from negative comments on social media.

We have gathered some of those reactions below.
