TV Pundit Tips West Ham To Spring a Surprise

|

This Sunday lunchtime, the Hammers support will be looking to their side to make it two wins on the bounce when Chelsea visit the London Stadium.

After the hard fought win away to Everton, last time out, West Ham will be looking to end Chelsea’s start to the season which has seen our West London rivals win their first six games, five in the Premier League and one in the Europa League.

But, although it looks to be a tough ask, one television pundit is tipping the Hammers to spring a surprise.

Over at the BBC, Mark Lawrenson is of the opinion that the Hammers will win 2-1.

The former Liverpool centre-back, impressed by the performance of Marko Arnautovic last weekend, believes that the Hammers will finally click and emerge the victors.

Perhaps Lawrenson has a point. Chelsea were involved in Europa League action, on Thursday evening, and could be a little jaded, although we should also throw into the mix the fact the likes of Hazard, David Luiz and Kovacic didn’t participate in the game.

However, if the support unites and get behind the team, I see no reason why West Ham can’t prove Lawrenson right and nick this one, in fact winning by the odd goal in three seems quite achievable.
