TV Pundit Predicts More Woe For West Ham This Weekend

|

The recent revival, where a string of results gave the Hammers support hope that the poor start to the season could be put to the back of our minds, has proven to be a false dawn.

Results have once again, taken a downward turn, culminating in another home loss, this time at the hands of our London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, a loss that was a bitter pill to swallow, even more so after hearing that our summer signing, Andriy Yarmolenko, could miss the remainder of the season courtesy of an Achilles injury.

The outcome of our inconsistent form means that the Hammers, after nine Premier League games, are just two points clear of the relegation places, an all too familiar feeling in recent times.

This Saturday, in the late kick-off, West Ham United take on Leicester City in a Premier League fixture that, for West Ham, has must-win written all over it.

But, Leicester City will be a tough test with the Foxes having earned five more points than the Hammers this season and sitting in a very comfortable eleventh place in the table.

However, whilst the Hammers support will be hoping that their side can edge this one, a respected TV pundit reckons it’ll be another tale of woe.

Mark Lawrenson, in his regular writing for the BBC, has this to say about the outcome of the game:

“Leicester’s home form has been a bit up and down this season, but I think they will edge this one, 2-0.”

COYI’s, let’s go prove him wrong.
