Report: Trio join West Ham in transfer race as manager opens door for summer deal

|

Earlier this week, the Daily Mail revealed that West Ham have joined the likes of Aston Villa in taking a closer look at young star Dion Sanderson.

Currently on loan at Cardiff City from Wolverhampton Wanderers, the young player has impressed in the Sky Bet Championship and looks as though he could have a bright future at the higher levels of the game.

Indeed, the report suggested that the Hammers would be looking at him closer when the season resumes in this country, but it sounds as though they won’t be the only side taking a look.

As per Football Insider, Brighton, as well as Championship sides Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday are also interested in the player, with the thrio joining the race to make it a hotly contested battle potentially.

Should we sign him?

Yes

No

And, that said, it also sounds as though Nuno Santo is willing for a deal to be struck in the window, with the report claiming that he is open to the youngster going out on loan again for next season.

Clearly, then, the Portuguese has opened the door for a potential summer move and the next question that needs to be answered concerns where he’ll end up.

If he’s good enough for the Premier League, it would make sense that he joins the Irons but, with Championship sides also taking a look, the assessment of what his level is at the moment, as well as what it could be, needs to be made – with Wolves bound to have a preference of where he plays too.
