Transfer News: Young West Ham fan favourite set for League One loan

|

West Ham United fans have long been calling to see a lot more than Nathan Holland. The Hammers have seen the young wideman absolutely tear apart young defences in the Premier League 2, and even when he’s been included in the senior side he’s brought a spark to the team.

However, with the Irons chasing a spot much higher up in the Premier League than they currently occupy, it looks like David Moyes is going to have to use those who are tried and tested to get this team up the table, and that will come at the expense of minutes for youngsters.

With that in mind, it looks very much like a loan move for young Holland, and potentially others, is the way forward and the news coming from ExWHUemployee on Twitter is that the youngster is going to be making his way to Oxford United on-loan this month.

The 21-year-old, who has an incredible 11 goals and seven assists in just 12 Premier League 2 matches this season (Transfermarkt), made his senior debut against Oxford United in the Irons’ 4-0 Carabao Cup defeat to the League One side, but now it appears he’s joining them.

The reasoning behind the move to Oxford United as opposed to anyone else is down to the fact that the Kassam Stadium faithful are fighting for promotion this season and play some really nice football, which appears to be exactly what West Ham want to see Holland experience.

Do you like seeing Holland in and around the first team?

With a bit of luck, a strong loan spell from the youngster will see him get plenty of minutes in his legs and a few goals here and there before he can return to Stratford ahead of the 2020/21 season where both he and Grady Diangana can provide some pace from wide areas straight from their academy.
