Transfer News: West Ham fans could be set to say goodbye to this untried ace in January

|

With every day that goes by we’re getting closer and closer to the January transfer window, and as the silly season approaches it looks like a lot of the fans have been bombarded with increasing amounts of transfer rumours ahead of the month of trading.

One of those rumours that has come very recently is one that a lot of fans may take exception to, though, as it is extremely controversial. The Hammers have got some questionable players on their books and many they want to see sold, but Albian Ajeti isn’t one of them.

The Swiss striker is not one of those who the fans will be desperate to see sold, and that’s mainly down to the fact that the 22-year-old has barely been given a chance at the club. So far this season he’s managed just 280 minutes (Transfermarkt), and to sell him after that would be ludicrous.

This news has come from Claret & Hugh, who are often quick to bring West Ham supporters with news on their club, and they’ve stated:

‘West Ham are ready to move Albian Ajeti out of the club in January as they look for a new option up front.’

‘He was allegedly on his way to Brentford for €5 million before Mario Husillos and Pellegrini moved in and bought him for £8 million.’

‘Ajeti – a late buy in the last window – has been entirely marginalised such has been his form and thus far the 22 year old has made just five Premier League appearances without making the slightest impact.’

‘The club has realised they must have a genuine second striker and that will become a priority in the next window as the club looks to reinforce.’

Should Albian Ajeti be sold in January?

Yes

No

It really is a strange one to hear that he could be on his way out very soon, although as long as the man who the Hammers look to bring in to replace the Swiss striker is capable of scoring goals then the frustrations will be tempered.
