Plenty of West Ham United have been crediting the news surrounding the contract situation of Hammers’ starlet Jeremy Ngakia.
The 19-year-old has experienced Premier League football for the first time in his career this season, most notably against league leaders Liverpool back in January where he put in an impressive and mature performance.
Will Jeremy Ngakia be a success for West Ham?
Yes
No
Regularly used in the U23s side, Ngakia has managed to make the step up into the seniors and has appeared four times under the watchful eye of David Moyes, and fans have been delighted with him since his introduction.
This has resulted in a new contract being offered to him. The Daily Mail revealed that he has been offered an extension worth up to £5k-a-week, which he has turned down.
With this in mind, supporters were pleased with the deal on the table and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that it was “totally justified”, while another added that it was “more than reasonable”.
This contract is totally justified

If that is the offer, that’s a fair deal and the right structure in my opinion. If he is good enough and can prove it, then he’s going to be in line for decent money for an inexperienced kid and bigger contract in the future

Good offer, that. How can you be that much of a mercenary after playing four senior games 😂

For a kid who has played a handful of times this sounds like a good deal. You can guarantee the agent isn’t getting a big enough piece of the pie

If that’s true, it’s more than reasonable. Agents ruin young players for their own benefit.

Nothing wrong with that. #greedy

If this is true (and it seems to conflict with what we’ve read elsewhere), it’s not a bad deal. There are a lot of stories going around, though. It’s hard to know which is true, if any -Lee https://t.co/SwqWix080a
