A few West Ham fans were surprised to see Josh Cullen go back out on loan for the season, but it seems like the club have no intention of allowing the Ireland international to walk for free next summer.
Josh Cullen’s future could still be at West Ham next season as he continues to impress at Charlton on loan. Carlos Sanchez looks certain to leave at the end of the season and it looks possible that the Hammers will offer Cullen a new deal. [@ClaretandH] #WHUFC #COYI pic.twitter.com/XNng96V1l8

Claret and Hugh report that Cullen, who is yet again impressing in the Charlton midfield in the Championship, is set to be promoted to the first-team next season as well as be handed a new contract that will secure the 23-year-old’s long-term future in east London.
The report also states that the Addicks midfield maestro will seemingly be a direct replacement for Carlos Sanchez, who is likely to leave West Ham after just two seasons at the club.
As you would expect, plenty of fans on social media were delighted to hear the news about Cullen being tied down to West Ham for the long-run after two impressive seasons with Charlton in both League One and now the Championship.
Here’ what some West Ham fans had to say about the promising update for Cullen…
