Far too steep I`d suggest.

Although the salaries paid to Premier League footballers are something we`d consider to be on the outrageous side, there comes a time when you have to call a halt.

With West Ham United Football Club looking to bring in some fresh talent, to ensure the directives the board set Sam Allardyce are achieved, the name of Bafetimbi Gomis has cropped up on a couple of occasions.

However, it turns out that the striker has big ideas about his own value and despite our Premier League rivals, Newcastle United, offering the player a salary said to be in the region of £85,000 a week, he`s holding out for £100,000 a week.

The grapevine suggests that`s far too steep for us, thereby we`re said to be pulling out of the race for the player and we`re said to be leaving the gaggle of European clubs chasing his signature to pay silly money!
