After a spell on-loan with Oxford United in League One last season, it looks like young Marcus Browne has been deemed surplus to requirements at West Ham and is being allowed to leave.

According to ExWHUemployee on Twitter, the 21-year-old central midfielder is set to sign for Middlesbrough on a permanent deal, although no price has been mentioned.
The fans aren’t best pleased about this one, though. A lot of them believe the youngster to be a talent for the future, and have been vocal about hoping there’s a buy-back clause involved.

We sell a promising young player and keep a useless one in Sanchez..I know they play different positions but just saying. Disappointed with this one.

I think we will regret this one and I bet we only sell for 1m

The Hammers will be keen to see Marcus Browne succeed in his career, but can’t help but be annoyed that he’s being let go.
