Andriy Yarmolenko really didn’t get a chance to show the Hammers what he could last season, featuring in just ten games and scoring twice after his £17.5m move from Borussia Dortmund (Sky Sports), before rupturing his Achilles tendon in a Premier League clash against Tottenham.

However, the 2019/20 season promises to be a much better one for the Ukrainian, and should he be able to avoid injury throughout the campaign then the fans will be hopeful of seeing more of the form that saw him bag an impressive brace away at Goodison Park to secure the Irons their first Premier League win of the season.
However, making sure he’s match fit and ready will be key, and as the winger takes part in pre-season the fans will look forward to seeing how he gets on. It seems that in training he’s started well, and a video of him being covered in freezing water by Manuel Lanzini and Felipe Anderson has surfaced on the official West Ham Twitter account.
With a bit of luck, Yarmolenko will be in the starting lineup for when West Ham take on Manchester City in the Premier League Asia Trophy on Wednesday afternoon, and whilst the full 90 minutes may be beyond him, getting a solid 45 minutes, or whatever he can get, under his belt would be a good start.

What a player we have on our hands if we can keep him fit. All three of them actually are ridiculously good.

The Hammers will be desperate to see what Yarmolenko can do next season and will back him to have an impact in pre-season if he can stay fit.
