West Ham are fighting for consistency under Manuel Pellegrini and have so far found it difficult to put together a run of form.
The Hammers are hovering in the bottom half of the standings after winning just three of their opening 11 Premier League matches, although a boost was provided last weekend with a victory over Burnley at the London Stadium.
Pellegrini’s side are now looking to build upon that result when they tackle a struggling Huddersfield Town tomorrow but another stern test is on the horizon as the Hammers are due to tackle free-scoring Manchester City after the international break.
Despite losing six of 11 games so far this season, West Ham captain Mark Noble is still positive about the club’s chances and has suggested that his side could still finish in a spot that secures European football next season.
It is certainly a bold claim and Tottenham fans on social media found his comments hilarious as they mocked the experienced West Ham man. We have gathered a selection of their reactions below.
