The End For Teddy?

Has the signing of Israel international Yaniv Katan from Maccabi Haifa signalled the end for Teddy Sheringham? The striker is set to have a medical, ready for him to sign in the January transfer window.

Although Marlon Harewood and Bobby Zamora have found their goalscoring touch recently for the Hammers, veteran Teddy Sheringham has been out of action with a calf injury. But with this signing, have we seen the last of the ex-Manchester United striker?

Alan Pardew brought in French pair David Bellion (Manchester United) and Jeremie Aliadiere (Arsenal) on season-long loans to supplement his strike force. And obviously Sheringham will see less of the action in the remaining five months of the season.

Pardue has been looking for his replacement for some time, and his transfer was always going to be short term.

Pardue wasdisappointed to miss out on big front-line signings in the summer when Czech Republic ace Milan Baros moved to Aston Villa from Liverpool and Togo’s Emmanuel Adeybayor decided to stay with Monaco after giving every indication he was set to leave the French club.
