This afternoon, well shortly after lunchtime, West Ham will be hoping to earn a much-needed away win, at Villa Park.

We`ll be facing a Villa side that have been flirting with relegation and who have a starting eleven packed with youngsters.

James Tomkins, set to start at the heart of the West Ha defence, remembers the problems West Ham encountered when the team was, how you might say, very young, remarking,

“It is a hard situation with all the young lads throughout their team. I remember being in a relegation fight under Gianfranco Zola as a young lad, still learning my trade. It was hard. All the experienced lads were important.”

“It`s hard when you are down there. You need experienced heads around you.”

It remains to be seen if our experienced team can get the better of the Villa youth, let`s hope so!
