As the new Premier League season draws nearer by the day, the Hammers support are eagerly waiting to see if the club are able to add anyone else to the squad before the summer transfer window slams shut at midnight on 9 August.
With a plethora of signings already completed, could there possibly be room for one more?
According to the news source, the Guardian the answer could, quite possibly be yes.
Our referenced source is running with the inference that West Ham are amongst a number of clubs who are looking to sign the Brazilian winger, Bernard.
The 25-year-old, who has 14 Brazil caps to his name, is currently a free agent after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk at the end of last season.
Bernard, when previously approached is said to have wanted a weekly salary circa £200,000 a week.
However, our source is of the opinion that figure could have been lowered now the new season is fast approaching and the player still has no club, something backed up by the following social media network comment;
£150k a week, I'd be shocked if we agreed to that considering we wouldn't entertain Pastore's demands which were slightly higher

As for the other clubs said to be interested, look no further than Chelsea, Benfica and AC Milan.
As for the Hammers supports thoughts on the possible latest addition, these are reflective of the comments we’ve stumbled across;
Quality player. It’s getting to the speechless stage

This is too much for me to take!
I’ll be grumpy if this doesn’t happen now…
If we sign Bernard, Anderson and Yarmolenko then our attacking options will be seriously strong!
Arnautovic, Hernandez & Antonio up in the ranks as well!— Steven McCarthy ???? (@StevenMcCarthy9) July 13, 2018
These, clearly, are exciting times to be a West Ham supporter and surely the coming season is going to be a memorable one
