The summer of our dreams looks poised to continue and having already signed Wilshere and Yarmolenko, we’ve been linked with a move for Sevilla’s Franco Vazquez.

As Football Espana reports, West Ham have made an official approach for the services of Franco Vasquez. The 29-year-old midfielder allegedly doesn’t feature in Sevilla’s plans, thus, allowing us to exploit his availability.

Here’s how West Ham supporters have responded to the speculation on Twitter.

Verdict:

The attacking midfielder is vastly experienced and has scored a decent total of 13 goals since joining Sevilla in 2016. The creative midfielder contributed towards ten league goals in La Liga last season, scoring four and registering six assists, and he’s recognised for his tremendous passing ability.

His creativity and industry will be of exceeding benefit for us this season, and his presence would significantly enhance the quality of our midfield, especially while Manuel Lanzini is absent.

What are your thoughts? Do you agree? Let us know!

  • We just need to trust in the manager and his vision for our side. Its no good having a fast attack and rebuilt defence, for everything to break down in a pedestrian midfield. I felt midfield was our major problem last year (along with goalkeeper) lacking pace and vision…..I am sure the manager will sort out the whole package of problems in our squad. Just trust him and thank the board for finally showing some balls.

  • I do hope they remember the financial fair play stuff and balance the books accordingly. We seem to be spending a lot on transfers , agents fee’s and wages. A couple of free transfer players maybe an option….like Balotelli…..may make sense. He is a proven goalscorer and knows the league already.
We could even bring in Ravel Morrison on a season long loan to see if he has finally grown up !!, he has the talent after all or that Japanese dead ball specialist K. Honda (aged 31) on a short term deal.
I just don’t want us to get in financial trouble in the future…..its not good for our owners to get over excited at there age I am sure !!
