“Survival now confirmed”, “Sweet prince” – These West Ham fans flock to “underrated” ace’s post

|

Plenty of West Ham United fans have been reacting to a post from Hammers defender Angelo Ogbonna.

The 32-year-old posted on his official Twitter account that he was “back on track” and raring to go as David Moyes’ side returned to training as part of the Premier League’s ‘Project Restart’.

The season has not been a particularly good one as far as West Ham are concerned, as we are currently 16th in the league standings and level on points with Watford and Bournemouth, with the Cherries sit in the relegation zone.

Does Angelo Ogbonna deserve the Hammer of the Year award?

Yes

No

Ogbonna himself is having a solid season and has been tipped to become the Hammer of the Year for 2020 by some fans. He has scored twice in 24 starts in the Premier League and has averaged 4.4 clearances and 2.2 long balls, as per Whoscored.

Unsurprisingly, supporters were full of praise for the Italian and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan believes that Premier League “survival now confirmed”, while another described him as a “sweet prince”.
