West Ham are looking to find consistency under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini but have so far found it difficult in the first few months of the season.
A draw with a struggling Huddersfield Town side prior to the international break has raised further questions about what is a realistic expectation for the club this season, with many expected West Ham to invest in their squad again in January.
The Hammers splashed in excess of £100m in the summer to draft in the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko, Felipe Anderson and Issa Diop but are still crying out for additional reinforcements – and West Ham have been tipped to make a surprise signing by some neutral fans.
Paris Saint-Germain ace Dani Alves has enjoyed an illustrious career with the likes of Juventus and Barcelona but, at the age of 35, is well into the twilight years of his career.
Despite that, the Brazil international has predicted he’ll move to the Premier League in some capacity in the future and some neutral fans believe this means he will eventually move to West Ham.
We have gathered some of their reactions below.
