West Ham United could not have got off to a worse start, in what seemed to be a case of ‘as you were’.
Start in terms of Premier League restart, after the long and temporary suspension of the Premier League, the Hammers picked up where they left off.
Saturday’s dismal 2-0 defeat at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers shuffled them down to 17th in the Premier League table and have won just two games out of the last 12.
David Moyes’ side is now in danger of being relegated to the Championship. Despite this, their fate is still very much in their own hands with eight games to play.
The ever-reliable ExWHUEmployee was also not impressed with what he saw at the London Stadium, and briefly explained on Twitter what he thinks is wrong with the current West Ham setup.
To me this just sums up our problems. I know what the instruction was but the fact that it was so confused shows tactically what a problem we have. Formation confused and players out of their best positions….. π€¦π»ββοΈ. Letβs hope we can somehow sort it out in time for Spurs π¬ https://t.co/znjPUfoj8D

It is difficult to argue with what he said, in what was a disjointed performance from the first minute and got worse as the game progressed.
In Moyes’ defence, he did have a lot of injuries to contend with. Declan Rice having to deputise at centre half didn’t help as his influence in the middle of the park was sorely missed.
With the Wolves defeat in mind, will West Ham stay up?
Yes
No
With this in mind, Robert Snodgrass, Angelo Ogbonna and Sebastien Haller could return to the team as early as the Spurs game on Tuesday, which could see a difference in performance levels in the side with players in their correct positions.
Having won at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season, let’s hope that confidence is not affected much going into this one.
