Summer Signing Number 8 Could Be On The Cards

|

In what has been a very productive summer transfer window, with the Hammers having already signed seven new players, all eyes are focussed on whether the club will make an eighth before the transfer window slams shut ahead of the first game of the 2018 / 2019 Premier League season.

However, speculation that has appeared in the tabloid publication, the Sun, suggests that an eighth signing could very well be on the cards.

According to our referenced source, West Ham United are looking at bringing the Paraguayan attacking midfielder, Miguel Almiron, to the club.

Almiron, 24-years-of-age, is rated in the £10 million bracket and is currently on the books of the American club, Atlanta United

But West Ham United are not the only Premier League club eyeing up a move for the player who Atlanta United acquired from the Argentine side, Lanus, for £6 million back in December 2016, with Newcastle United also showing an interest.

However, our referenced source infers that when it comes to securing a deal, Atlanta United might be reticent to sell their star man and may hold out until the end of the current MLS season, which would hold up any move for the player until January 2019.

Here at Vital West Ham, we’ll keep our eyes open for any further developments on the situation and report back as deemed appropriate.
