Hammers Match Zone

Summer Signing Answers Hammers Fans Prayers

|

Yesterday, ahead of the Premier League fixture with Burnley, we pleaded for our summer signing, Felipe Anderson, to produce a performance the magnitude of his transfer fee demanded.

Our article Click Here, mentioned the fact that Anderson has shown us in glimpses what he can do but that inconsistency is his biggest problem.

Well, against Burnley, as the Hammers ran out worthy 4-2 winners, Anderson did just that.

Aside from scoring two goals, hitting the post and also providing an assist, the 25-year-old had more touches (1030 and played more passes (75) than any other player on the pitch.

His display not only delighted the Hammers support but also Manuel Pellegrini who, in his after-match interview, and as reported by the BBC, had this to say:

“I am delighted for him because we know what he can give us.”

Here at Vital West Ham, we’re hoping that the man-of-the-match display Anderson produced against Burnley is set to become the norm rather than a flash in the pan, it’s not too much to ask for is it?
