The saying that ‘if you love something, it’s best to let it go’ can be true to a lot of aspects of life, but for West Ham fans, it almost certainly can’t be said for Upton Park.
A little throwback, the last time I ever visited #UptonPark back in May 2016. Emotional day #westham #hammers #premierleague #football #irons pic.twitter.com/jQkjqaS6Zu

It’s been over three years since West Ham bid farewell to the Boylen Ground in 2016, yet despite the amount of time that has passed since the Irons moved on from the classic arena and into their new London Stadium home, supporters are still missing Upton Park like they only left yesterday, and Tony Cottee’s post on social media has only brought up memories.
The West Ham icon posted a photo to his official Twitter page of the former striker on the classic Upton Park pitch in the final month of the stadium’s life, resulting on supporters on social media yet again bringing up the point that they should never have left for their current London Stadium.
Here’s what some West Ham fans had to say about Cottee’s throwback post about Upton Park, which some fans were feeling emotional about…
You can see my old seat over your left shoulder. Still gutted we moved.

The move away from the iconic east London stadium had some fans chocked up even now, three years since the move to the London Stadium…
