For West Ham United supporters, things can only get better following the heavy defeat the side suffered at Old Trafford in the first match of the season.

This Saturday, with the London Stadium still not open for business as a football stadium, we`re on the road again with the destination being Southampton.

Ahead of the big fixture, we`ve cobbled together some early team-news.

Starting with our hosts Southampton:

The Saints are hoping that Ryan Bertrand will be available for selection after the full-back picked up a knock in the opening game of the season against Swansea.

Virgil van Dijk, after being the subject of transfer speculation all week, is not available for selevtion.

But the Saints new record signing, Mario Lemina, could be handed a debut.

Continuing with West Ham:

There`s some good news for the Hammers with Michail Antonio available for selection again, having recovered from a hamstring operation.

But, not available for selection are – Andy Carroll, Cheikhou Kouyate and Manuel Lanzini, with all three still on the injured list, however, it is hoped that all three might be available next weekend when West Ham play Newcastle.
