West Ham spent over £100m in the summer transfer window but there are still areas within Manuel Pellegrini’s squad that are in need of improvements.
The Hammers bolstered their attacking ranks with the additions of Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson but still lack a top-class recognised centre-forward in the squad, instead utilising Marko Arnautovic as the leading man.
While the Austria international has been somewhat effective, signing a new forward in January should be the priority and reports from the continent suggest Pellegrini is keen on signing Brazil striker Gabriel Barbosa.
Currently on loan with Santos in his homeland, Gabriel Barbosa struggled to settle at Inter Milan and is likely to be on the move in 2019. While some may be concerned at his previous struggles at the San Siro, some fans seem keen on a potential transfer.
Still just 22 and boasting two goals in four appearances for Brazil, Gabriel Barbosa could be an effective addition and we have gathered some of the best reactions to the reports below.
He's Brazilian so will help Anderson settle. He has youth on his side too. I say snap him up!
