Sixth Summer Signing Imminent For The Hammers But Will There Be A Seventh And An Eighth

|

With five summer signings already made, could the Hammers sixth summer signing be the biggest expenditure so far?

It’s been a productive summer for those that deal with transfers behind the scenes at the club, already the club have acquired the services of – Lukasz Fabianski, Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop, Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko, certainly a sign that the club are intent on ensuring the 2018 / 2019 season is far more of a success than last season.

However, speculation continues to appear, in the media, inferring that the club are still intending to break their transfer record, when it comes to purchases, with the midfielder Anderson still firmly in their sights.

According to the news source, Daily Mail, West Ham are looking at sending £40 million on the player

Furthermore, the same source is adamant that the club have pre-empted the conclusion of the deal by ensuring that a work permit can be procured.

Hopefully, after what appear to be summer-long negotiations, the deal can be concluded and I‘ll be celebrating the arrival of summer signing number six.

Happy days are certainly on the horizon, but is the summer spending spree finished or are we set to see the arrival of a seventh or even an eighth summer signing?
