West Ham’s senior men’s side may have thrown away a two-goal lead against Brighton on the weekend, and the women’s side may have been thrashed 8-0 by Chelsea, but the one thing the fans have been able to rely upon this season has been the kids, and they shone once again yesterday.
Sensational!
Three late strikes from Dju, Silva and Adarkwa add to Afolayan’s opener, and the U23s return to the top of Premier League 2 Division 2! #COYI #PL2 pic.twitter.com/5BDrsk3gz3

The young Hammers recorded a fantastic 4-2 win over Sunderland’s U23 side to return to the top of the Premier League 2 Division 2, despite being 2-1 down going into the final ten minutes of the game, and the fans absolutely loved seeing the youngsters star.
The Hammers are flying in the U23s league, and whilst they may have seen the likes of Joe Powell, Nathan Holland and Dan Kemp leave in January, they still have the firepower to win games, as they showed during the Sunday trip to Sunderland.
Where will we be playing next season?
Premier League
Championship

What a difference and breath of fresh the West Ham U23 side are compared to the first team – actually going into games and forcing the win against opposition that they should be beating.
— Josh Verrills (@WestHamJoshV) February 2, 2020
The Irons love their U23s at the moment, and it looks like some would rather just support the kids than the senior team.
