West Ham have struggled for consistency so far this season and have suffered six defeats in their opening 12 Premier League matches, heading into another tough clash with title favourites Manchester City.
Manuel Pellegrini splashed over £100m on new recruits during the summer transfer window but the performances of his team show there is work to be done, with it being widely anticipated that the Hammers will be extremely busy in January.
However, due to the vast sums splashed in pre-season, exits are likely required to raise funds for Pellegrini to splash and fans on social media have started to identify the players they would like to see moved on.
Many have identified Mexican striker Javier Hernandez as a player who is surplus to requirements after his sub-par displays since signing from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, scoring nine goals in 36 league matches.
The 30-year-old has earned just two starts in the Premier League this season and some have called for him to be offloaded on social media. We have gathered some of their reactions below.
Yes, he should not have been signed in the first place

Yes definitely, I was over the moon when we signed him probably like most fellow hammers was, but unfortunately he isn’t delivering, so BYE BYE I’d say

Wad hoping Pellegrini might spark some life out of him, and I suppose he might do yet, but I can’t see it. Probably best saying goodbye, I only hope we get some money for him, but that’s unlikely too, imo.
