Sam on Tough Stoke Trip!

After four wins and one solitary defeat from the last five games, our season suddenly looks a lot healthier.

This weekend, after a break last weekend, courtesy of the FA Cup, we face another tough trip when we travel to Stoke to take on a side that has the same number of points as us, thirty-one.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Sam Allardyce had a few words to say about the task that lies ahead, remarking,

‘It’s another game that we’ve had to wait a couple of weeks for. It was a valiant effort at Everton which showed the defensive qualities were there.”

‘It’s a very tough game at Stoke though, especially with their home form. You have to deal with the frontmen and when you’re in possession you have to retain that possession and then make the most of your opportunities.’

In other words soak up the pressure and hit the hard on the break.
